Alexander is working on Thorium ion trapping and quantum repeaters. In the past he worked in Velichansky's group (Frequency Standard Laboratory, Lebedev Physical Institute, Russia) on Cs trapping. Outside the lab he likes doing sports (swimming, snowboarding, tennis) and dancing.
